Walking with Love, alternatives and responses to abortion

A woman's decision to continue with her pregnancy or to have an abortion is usually heavily influenced by the perception of support that she feels that she has.

Research shows that 60% of friends and family have no idea how to support women and do not know which organisations offer support services and counselling to pregnant women.

Learn supportive ways to walk with her. She needs to know that you are there for her

If she needs someone professional to talk to, suggest decision-making counselling which is a specialist form of counselling. If she needs emotional and practical help, YOU can be there for her and point her to the following  support agencies who will be able to help her.

For simple practical ways to respond to her, view the Walking with Love Practical Guide.
